May Club Project #2 and Miss LHS Award

Take a look at the bright, crisp colors in this card!  We will be making this as one of our projects tonight at my house.  The main focus of this card is the newest flower punch Stampin’ Up! is selling in their Summer Mini Catalog.  This is a “triple punch” with all of these flowers coming from only one punch!  That’s right, purchase one thing, and get alot more…….I like that kind of purchase!…

May Club Project #1

The ladies in my Stamp Club are making this card for one of their projects.  It is made using all new products found in our Summer Mini Catalog.  These gorgeous flowers are perfect for a card celebrating the beautiful weekend we’ve had in Central Texas! Did you notice the texturing along the right side of the card?  This is the matching Embossing Folder…….adds just the perfect touch!  And the Designer Series Paper in found in…

Thank you “HSU Style”

Last week we went to Hardin-Simmons University and attended Spring Orientation.  Allyson registered for her fall classes and I went to an orientation session for parents.    We went to lunch with a dear friend of ours and met some other freshman families, too.  It was exciting, but emotional for me.  They forgot to hand out the kleenex boxes to us!  This is the “thank you” card that Allyson and I sent to one of our…

Happy Mother’s Day!

I hope that each of you had a great weekend and enjoyed celebrating Mother’s Day with family or friends.  We had a great day — Charles and the girls got me some special gifts, we had lunch with Charles’ family after attending church, we went for frozen yogurt after naptime — and it was great having all my girls home all day long.  Quite unusual these days!  Here are the cards that I made for my…

Blossom Bouquet Triple Punch

I am really digging Stampin’ Up!’s new flower punch!  It punches 3 different shapes with one little punch!  All of these flowers were created with one punch……and one stamp set was used for the remaining elements on the card.  We will be making a card very similar to this one at my May Club Classes.  If you’d like to be a guest at my Class on May 12th or May 17th, please let me know.  …

Masculine Thank You Card

I was successful in creating several new cards yesterday.  It was like a breath of fresh air to FINALLY get some time to be creative.  I had a list of thank you’s to make, and projects to try to out for my May Stamp Clubs.  I got so much done — and I love all of the cards I made!  No duds……amazing!  The hardest cards for me to create are masculine cards.  I wanted to…

April Club Project #1

Our first project this month is a card celebrating Easter and using the Faux Mother of Pearl Technique that I showed yesterday.  Inspiration from this card came from THIS POST and special thanks to Erica for showing it to me!   I saw it and ran with it!  I didn’t have the Lattice Big Shot Die, but my friend Katherine let me borrow hers.  Yep, it’s on my next order for sure!  I’m finding all sorts…

Thank You Card with a new technique…

I wish you could see how these flowers shimmer when they catch the light!  The photo doesn’t do them justice.  I tried a new technique called “Faux Mtoher of Pearl” and it is gorgeous!  We will be making some flowers like these at my Stamper’s Club classes this week and I know my ladies are going to love them!  I used several different products to add a great deal of dimension to this card.  I hope…

Get Well Wishes from Barb

Allyson got the most gorgeous card from our friend Barb.  We met years ago when we started fostering babies.  They have fostered 40+ babies!  I introduced her to stamping, and she took flight!!!  She is now on several design teams, and has been published!  I’m so glad I can say that I had a teeny little part in helping her blossom!  She creates some of the most detailed, and precious cards.  She is one talented lady! …

My friends are “Sew Sweet”

I have been blessed with friends that are “sew sweet”.  And I was blessed by so many kind deeds when Allyson was in the hospital this past week!  I am beginning to write some special thank you notes as a small token of appreciation to my dear friends!  The stamp set “Tags So Much” that I used on this card is really ancient — retired a long time ago!  But you know how I love punches, so it’s…
