Playful Pieces Hostess Set

I’d like to show you some cards that I made for my hostess last week.  I went to McKinney to do a workshop for a very dear friend, Michelle, who used to live in Waco.  It was so, so fun to see her and “catch up” on our lives.  Her four children have grown so much…..and I loved sharing some Stampin’ Up! projects with her and her guests.  I gave her a set of 8 cards…

Notecard Gift Set

I think you will LOVE this idea………my neighbor actually made this, but she gratiously allowed me to photo it for the blog.  Thank you, LeighAnn!  This is a gift item made with our Clear Mount Stamp Cases.  They are sold on page 192 in the catalog, and you can purchase 4 of them for $4.95.  WOW!  I think that is quite a bargain!  She decorated the outside with Sunny Garden DSP, made a belly band…

What a hoot!

Isn’t this a hoot?  Such a cute card made with our new Owl Punch!  I must confess that I did not create this card, but someone swapped with me at Convention and gave me this fun card.  She didn’t put a label on it, though, so I can ‘t properly give her credit……sorry! I love that she used the DSP for the belly of the owl.  It really draws you to the owl as the…

Pocket Silhouettes Card

Today’s card is full of simplicity, but the textures make it look like so much more…. I used the Perfect Polka Dots on the background of the card, but the rest of the card is plain and simple.  I think you can figure it all out…..Whisper White, Real Red, and Basic Black are the colors. Have a great, great day!  Tomorrow’s project is really special to me……….I’ll show you the gifts I made for my…

Chic Boutique Paper Piecing Card

Hello!  I’m in Salt Lake City this week ready for Stampin’ Up! Convention to start today!  I am so excited…….and I really love this card that I made to swap at convention.  Since I love to sew, this cute little dressform was a “must” for my stamp collection!  I used a technique called “Paper Piecing” to make the pink dress.   To achieve this look, I stamped a piece of Pink Pirouette Cardstock with the tiny…

Thoughts and Prayers Card

Today’s card features “Thoughts and Prayers” from page 150 in the new Idea Book & Catalog.  I also used another new color, Cajun Craze, mixed with Old Olive.  I hope you enjoy the layout of the card and the “little” things — such as the scalloped border and the oval punched accent.  I tied a tiny piece of ribbon (good way to use up your scraps!) and helped off-set the greeting on the right side…

“For All You Do” Card

I found this extra embossed piece on my desk (yes, when I was cleaning up!) and decided to use it up!  I am re-cycling things left and right these days.  I’m trying to use all this stuff up so that when the new stuff is available on July 1st, I won’t have any excuse to not buy more stuff!  I love this Melon Mambo color……..and it is so, so cheerful!  I’m so glad it is…
