Simple Monochromatic Card and Star Wreath

Sorry to keep you waiting all weekend to see my other cards………the ones I promised on Friday, I think!  We ended up going to see the school play on Friday night (Lindsey had a small role in that) and then I was just too tired to work on the blog.  On Saturday, I went to a scrapbooking event hosted by two other local demonstrators — Lindsey Blackhurst and Leah Fish.  They are fabulous at what…

It’s Monday already???

For real……..where did the weekend go?  It should have lasted much, much longer!  The weather was gorgeous here in Texas!  We had our first weekend in 5 weeks that we actually got to stay in town!  It was wonderful!!!  Although it was filled with activity, it was great to be home and not have to travel.  We had a very sad game on Friday night — we lost big time!  It was our last home…

Happy Halloween!

Good morning friends!  I am in a hurry to get this posted………but I couldn’t resist showing you one more Halloween card!  It is made using a RETIRED set, though!  Sorry!  It is still one of my favorites  — and it is called “Booglie Eyes”.  This was such a fun card to make because it went together quickly and easily.  I made those bug-like eyes “POP” by coloring them with our fantastic White Gel Pen!   The…

“Jack” says Hi!

Jack-O-Lantern, that is!  I hope you like my paper pieced pumpkin.  I used Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss, and Close to Cocoa cardstock.  I stamped the images from “Autumn Harvest” stamp set with Black StazOn ink and cut them out.   Simple as can be!  Do you see the scalloped edges around the pumpkin?  This is actually our Scalloped Square punch!  I punched out 4 Pumpkin Pie squares and mounted them really close together.  It appears to…

A Bittersweet Ending…

We had a wonderful weekend traveling to the AREA BAND CONTEST on Saturday.  However, it is a bittersweet ending.  We competed with 26  3A Bands on Saturday and we placed 8th in the “Top 10” Bands for the day.  We proceeded to the finals on Saturday evening, but we did not make the “Top 5” from these final performances.  We were sad that it had ended, but we were happy to know that we didn’t…

We are still “flying high” from a very exciting weekend with many high points!  First, you must appreciate Texas Football to really understand our excitment when we won ANOTHER football game on Friday night.  You must also know that our small 3A High School has NOT had success on the field in several years (none since we moved here 6…

Moms never get to eat their meal…

Can you relate?  When is the last time you ate an entire meal?  While it was still hot?  With your own fork and spoon?  Without sharing?  Without cutting it up into tiny pieces so “little one” can have some?  You get the picture?  Well………here is why I didn’t get to eat much of my dinner last night……… I had the joy and privilege of sharing my corn on the cob with a “snotty nosed” baby! …

New Samples!

First, a quick reminder to check out this post if you want to see my list of retired sets for sale. Over the weekend, I had a little bit of time to stamp some things for my first Stamper’s 10 Club Class.  Both of the groups are meeting on Tuesday for our first “organizational” meeting, but I wanted them to have a couple of cards to stamp using new images.  Here is what I came up…
